Locavore Cook

We’re looking for a an enthusiastic and committed person that shares our ethos to join our team and help expand our home made food offering. We’re looking for a capable and adaptable cook who is able to work with seasonal ingredients and cook in big batches.

You will be responsible for producing catering for events, making deli items/preserves, and hosting our Honest Box Canteen pop-up-cafes on a regular basis. Although the bulk of your work will be kitchen based it will also involve serving customers and general shop duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, a food hygiene certificate and good knowledge of HCCAP. Most of all we want someone who is creative in the kitchen, makes really nice food and has a passion for local organic ingredients.

The role will be a minimum of 15 hours per week initially and include weekends. The hourly rate is £7.25/h and you will also benefit from a generous staff discount. There will a additional hours available as events are confirmed and the potential to increase hours as we progress.
