Good Morning,
We’re now taking orders for the Christmas tree rental scheme, as well as wreaths, hampers, meat and nut roasts, and much more. You can place your order by following this link.
Staying with the Christmas theme momentarily, you can order advent calendars through the Open Food Network, to be delivered with next weeks veg box. The online shop will open later today.
In the veg boxes today, we’ve got our usual staples of potatoes, carrots and onions from Chapel Farm, East Lothian. All of the boxes contain sprouts, also from Chapel Farm, as well as Spaghetti squash from Strawberry Fields, and oriental cooking greens from Left Field, Neilston. This makes up the sum total of the small veg boxes.
The standard veg boxes also contain both golden and Chioggia beetroot and celeriac from Chapel Farm. There’s also spring greens and Seaweed kale from Royal Oak, Lancashire.
The large and extra large contain the same produce, in larger quantities, as the standard box (no beetroot). There’s also Jerusalem artichokes and radishes from Left Field. The extra large boxes also contain kohl rabi, Sutherland kale and salad from Left Field.
In the fruit bags today, there are Spanish Navelina oranges in the first fruit bag, and Beurre Superfin pears from Whitethorn, Herefordshire in the second. In the third fruit bag you’ll find apples, with Italian white grapes and bananas from the Dominican Republic in the fourth and fifth.
As it’s the fourth Friday of the month, we’re delivering the treat boxes as the monthly special. There’s the option of sweet or savoury, at £20 each. If you’d like to add one to your order, just email us.
Remember, you can share your culinary creations with your fellow subscribers on the veg box Facebook page.
Enjoy!
