Hello Folks,
We hope that you enjoyed the fleeting sunshine as much as we, and the growing sites, did! At Left Field Market Garden, Neilston, the good weather dried the ground out for the first time this year, allowing our growers to use the walk behind tractor to prepare the beds for the sowing of carrot and radish seeds. Raspberry canes have also gone into the ground, and under the cover of the polytunnel and greenhouse, leaf crops have been sown. The gutters on the polytunnels have been fixed to improve rainwater collection. Another truckload of compost kept the growers busy shovelling many tonnes onto the beds.
In other news, there’s one more day left for the March Munch of the Month competition – get your entries in while you can to be in the running for a hamper of delicious goods from the shop.
