Hello Folks,
Before we get started on this week’s news, we’d like to remind you to leave out your empty veg box for collection on your delivery days. As well as the veg boxes, we’ll also take back egg boxes, Ed’s Bees Honey jars, insulated boxes from monthly specials and clean milk bottles for reuse.
In our shop, we are now collecting crisp packets, biscuit wrappers, toothpaste tubes and toothbrushes which will be sent to Terracycle to be recycled! While it doesn’t make consuming these products completely guilt free – it does help reduce waste going to landfill! From this we collect points which turn in to a monetary reward that goes straight to the Good Food Fund. Just an all round fabulous initiative really! We are also now collecting again for Still Life but ONLY PLASTIC TYPE 2 (HDPE).
The beginning of this week marks the start of Fairtrade Fortnight. This year’s campaign is focussing on women, cocoa, and living income. You can support Fairtrade by buying fairtrade products. In our online shop, find Equal Exchange coffee, chocolate and cocoa powder as well as Ma’s Kitchen cocnut milk, all of which are organic and Fairtrade.
