Hello Folks,

Thank you for your continued support of the Good Food Fund. We have started supplying Govanhill Community Canteen with vegetables. Having lost their venue last year, they have recently re-started providing a weekly free meal that is well used by residents of Govanhill. The meal is on Thursdays from 5.30 in 26 Belleisle Street. Your donations make it possible for us to support great local projects like this one.

This week’s veg boxes have another round of cauliflowers from Organic Pantry. They were over-wintered and then bloomed with the recent sun. Once again we want to remind you that we’re at the end of the season for our roots and you might be feeling your veg box is a bit lighter than it used to be. We are seeing a lot more of our own leafy greens to replace them and these are really as fresh as you can get if you don’t have your own garden. Find out more about the benefits of fresh picked greens here. You’ll also find our Fruit # 1 is apples and we’ve had word from the supplier that these are coming to an end until later in the year.
