Veg Box Newsletter 14/7/17

We hope that you’re enjoying the new season veg as much as we are!

Our market gardens, Left Field, Rouken Glen and The Croft are becoming very abundant. The first of the french beans, bunches of baby carrots and patty pan squash grown as locally as The Croft at Queens Park are available in our shop. The herbs are coming along nicely too, with chives incorporated into the menu at Project Cafe and Down to Earth. Tomorrow, our New Growers will be visiting one of last year’s New growers, Jackie & The Beanstalk, who, after a successful growing season at The Croft, now has her own land, and is supplying our shop and wholesale offering with her produce.

There’s just over a week left to enter the Munch of the Month competition – keep your entries coming by posting pictures of your veg box creations on social media with the tags #locavoremm and #locavorevegbox.

The Open Food Network is now open for orders to be delivered with next week’s veg box. New to the selection, we have Garcia’s blue corn tortilla chips, and Locavore grown garlic.
