Hello Folks,
Thank you for your donations to the Good Food Fund. Your money is used to send fruit and veg to organisations that support people living in food poverty. We send weekly supplies to Govan Community Project who run a food destitution project that is used mainly by asylum seeking refugees. They live in considerable hardship as they don’t have the right to work and receive an allowance of just over £5/ day which is supposed to cover costs for food and travel. Accessing emergency food provision is almost inevitable for asylum seekers and fresh produce is a rare sight at foodbanks. Your donations allow for fruit and veg to reach the people who come to GCP.
This Sunday 21st Mark from Green Hollows will host another Spring foraging session in Pollok Park: 1-4pm £20 general/£10 kids, tickets available here. On Tuesday 30th Fresh Green Clean are hosting a natural cleaning workshop in the cafe: 5.30-7.30pm £30, get your tickets by contacting Susan directly. More info here.
