Hello Folks,
Our farms are still getting great harvests of leafy greens, with Locavore kale and chard appearing in this week’s boxes. We’re also seeing our first harvests of Locavore grown tomatoes! These are included in the standard supplementary veg bags this week.
It’s all change at Locavore at the moment as our veg box team prepare to move to our new larger premises at Bellahouston Park. This will provide us with much needed extra space for veg packing and storage!
Our flower growing plots at Queen’s Park and Rouken Glen are starting to look quite autumnal. There are dusky blue poppy seed pods, silvery quaking grasses and sunset coloured Rudbeckias just beginning to bloom. You can order a one off bunch to celebrate the changing seasons through the Open Food Network or subscribe to receive flowers regularly with your veg for the last few months of the growing season.
