We’ve been preparing lots of new ground at Left Field. Some for planting out our autumn crops of chard and kale, and others to be covered over with weed-suppressing fabric over autumn and winter, ready to be planted into next spring.
Also this week we say a fond farewell to one of our growers, Hannah, who has been working at our growing sites for the last year, and has been instrumental in helping them to thrive better than ever. We wish her all the best in all her future adventures.
We have beautiful Scottish apples as fruit #1 this week. This is our first ever delivery from the Centre for Stewarship at the Falkland Estate in Fife, and we’re super excited to be offering organic Scottish apples. This week, it’s an early variety called ‘Discovery’.
As it’s (already?!) the first Friday of September we’re delivering meat boxes. If you’d like to add one to your order, simply drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can choose from small (£55), standard (£110), family (£150) or value, which includes offal (£75). Each contain a selection of organic beef, lamb, chicken, pork from Hugh Grierson and Peelham Farm.
The Open Food Network is now open for orders to be delivered next week. Use our online shop for ordering additional groceries, fruit, veg and flowers.
