Hello Folks,
You’ll each find a couple of small non-vegetable surprises in your veg box this week, which is a festive gift from us as a token of our thanks for your custom. We’re incredibly grateful to have of all of you as customers, and are looking forward to the new year, and what it will bring.
Curly green kale grown at Royal Oak Farm is gracing all of the final veg boxes of 2018! As I’m sure you all know by now, kale is a wonderfully versatile leafy green and is delicious in all its forms – even raw (but remember to massage the leaves to soften)! Our favourite recipe of the moment is this one by Anna Jones’, which pairs sautéed curly kale with crispy butter beans, tomatoes, lemon, walnuts and nutmeg.

Remember to reuse your paper bags at home as we’re unable to recycle these in store for you. You’ll notice we’ve used some of our bio bags (made of thistle!) and any feed back on these is welcomed. These can be reused at home too!
