Hello Folks,

We’re still seeing bumper crops here at Locavore, and your boxes feature plenty that our hard-working growers have produced: chard, celery, courgettes (and that’s just the letter C)! Fruit bags see the return of apples as the summer begins to wind down, but there’s still plenty of exciting stone fruits in there to enjoy before autumn sets in.

Our glasshouse and polytunnels are in full bloom at Rouken Glen. The Scabiosa are now flowering and are a magnet for pollinators, the tunnels are buzzing with bumblebees and hoverflies gathering nectar. If you want to receive a freshly picked bunch of flowers weekly to compliment your organic veg selection please email subscribers@glasgowlocavore.org.
