Veg Box Newsletter 18/08/17

Hello Folks,

This week, majority of the produce in the veg boxes this week is from our growing sites, with only the potatoes, carrots and onions from the rest of the UK!

We’ve added Mossgiel cream to our delivery offering, it’s £2.15 for 0.5l. We have of course tried it ourselves on soft fruit for breakfast (quality control purposes of course), and can confirm that it is delicious! If cream is not your thing, you can support Mossgiel Family Farm through their cowfunder, where they’re aiming for £15,000 to build cow friendly roads on the farm to prevent the soil from becoming compacted, thus protecting the farm and environment.

It’s pasta, pulse & grain box week in the monthly special department. We offer three sizes – small (£10), standard (£15) and large (£20). Each contain a selection of cupboard staples, and the selection varies month to month.

If you’d like to add a pasta, pulse or grain box or cream to your order, drop us an email at subscribers@glasgowlocavore.org.

The Munch of the Month competition is open until the 28th of August – keep your entries coming to be in for a chance of winning a hamper of delicious and ethical goods from our shop. Enter by simply sharing a photo of your veg box creation on social media, with the tags #locavoremm and #locavorevegbox.

If you’re new to our veg boxes, join our veg box community over on Facebook, and check out our veggiepedia, where you’ll find more information on the produce and recipe suggestions.
